Maruti Suzuki India sales report November 2016

New Delhi, December 1 2016: Maruti Suzuki India Limited, leader in passenger vehicles, sold a total of 135,550 units in November 2016, growing 12.2% over the same period of last fiscal. This includes 126,325 units in the domestic market and 9,225 units of exports.

The Company had sold a total of 120,824 units in November 2015.

Year to date sales of Alto and WagonR declined by 3.1% whereas monthly sales compared to the same month(November) last year grew by 8.1%. Both year to date and monthly sales grew by 4.9% & 10.8% respectively for compact segment which comprises of Swift, Ritz(stock clearance), Celerio, Baleno and Dzire. Both year to date and monthly sales of Dzire Tour declined by 4.7% and 10.3%. Though the monthly sales of Ciaz declined by 1.4% , year to date sales rose by 22.9%.

Thanks to Brezza ,the utility vehicle segment of Maruti grew by 98.1% and 132.3% respectively in monthly and year to date sales. The aging Omni and Eeco are still selling well for Maruti.

Maruti sold 105 units of its first light commercial vehicle Super Carry in the month of November and its year to date sales stood at 268 units. Looks like Maruti is yet gain traction in this segment.

On the other hand Maruti’s export sales declined by 9.8%(monthly) and 9.3%(year to date). Total year to date sales is 80,797 units and monthly(November-16) sales is 9,225 units.

Total sales comprising of domestic & export markets is 1,35,550 units.
